On the Four Stages of the Cited Literature Retrieval Technology Development

By discussing the four stages of the cited literature retrieval technology development, this paper reveals the theoretical and practical drawbacks of the literature retrieved in classical means, and it then introduces the new principles and retrieval process of the data mining which will strengthen the retrieve function of cited literature and enlarge the space of cited literature analysis and evaluation. Meanwhile, the author makes a comparison among the quotation databases at home and abroad in order to show the achievements of Chinese cited literature retrieve technology and future orientation as well.
