| 摘 要： | 美国是一个宗教气氛浓厚的国家,宗教对其慈善思想的产生和慈善活动的发展起了重要的作用。教徒因其信仰和重视教育的传统,纷纷捐资兴办大学。宗教不仅是美国早期高等教育的原动力,而且后世的美国人对教育的慷慨解囊也凸显了宗教的力量。纵观美国近40年来的捐赠历史和捐助领域,最突出的就是把教育放在至关重要的地位,宗教信仰是美国教育捐赠的基本动因。
