| 摘 要： | 1917年张勋复辟事件对中国政局影响深远，不仅牵涉国内派系之间博弈，亦关系到日本在华利益。时逢第一次世界大战，日本力促中国对德参战，对华政策面临新的调整和取向。内阁在对待复辟问题上产生重大分歧，最终从对华政策的长远利益考虑，放弃支持复辟，这也是张勋复辟迅速失败的重要原因之一。

| Abstract: | Zhang Xun's attempt to restore monarchy in 1917 had a far-reaching impact on the political situation of China. It was not only related to the fights between domestic factions, but also concerned the benefit of Japan in China. At that time, World War I was going on. Japan urged China to fight with Germany and consequently, its policy towards China was confronted with new adjustment. Despite the great disagreement concerning the problem of restoration, the Japanese cabinet gave up their support for the consideration of their long-term benefit. This was one of major reasons why Zhang Xun failed to restore monarchy so soon. |
