| 摘 要： | 歌德的<威廉·迈斯特的学年时代>被认为是成长小说中的经典.其后这种小说形式在西方世界几乎各个民族文学中都得到发展.爱尔兰作家乔伊斯的<青年艺术家的画像>(1916)不仅继承了这一文类的基本特征,还大大地发展了这一传统文类.乔伊斯扩展了成长小说的叙事范围,更新了传统的成长观,强调成长的连续性和流动性,在个人与社会的关系上选择逃离和自我放逐.在探寻精神家园的过程中,他发现的是异化和隔膜.

| Abstract: | Bildungsroman,with Goethe's Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre as its representative classic,is originally a genre of novel in German literature.In A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Joyce enlarges the narrative scopes,renovates the concept of growth,rejects to exemplify the middle-class values,emphasizes the fluidity and continuity of development,suggests the necessity of escaping from the world and the inevitability of self-exile,and finds out the reality of spiritual alienation and separation. |
