A Review of the Meaurement of Mind-wandering

Mind-wandering is a common conscious experience of involuntary internal mental activity,and it plays a significant role in human consciousness and has aroused widespread concern in the field of consciousness and neuroscience in recent years.The measure of the phenomena similar to mind-wandering includes daydreaming,spontaneous thinking,cognitive failures,the restless mind and so on.These researches analyze the frequency,the structure of content and the function of these phenomena with different questionnaires.By summarizing these findings,this paper examines the relationship between various phenomena and mind-wandering.This makes sense for comprehensive understanding of the phonomenon,clear definition of the concept and promotes further study of the characteristics of mind-wandering.
