| 摘 要： | 社会临场理论是媒体技术与社会研究领域的一个重要理论。该理论扎根于符号互动论和人际传播的社会心理学。本文指出了社会临场理论在内在阐述逻辑上与既有理论根源的断裂,并以晚近的实证研究和新媒体的日常使用经验为依据,对该理论做了一次批判性的检视。本文发现该理论存在三个主要问题:临场者与互动者的混淆、情境的缺失以及预设因果链的经验性缺陷。这一反思性的理论检视有助于我国学者批判性的应用该理论对新媒体的诸多问题加以研究。

| Abstract: | This paper revisits theories of social presence in the effort of filling gap between its theoretical roots and SPT itself,being supported by findings from some other empirical studies as well as from daily experience of new media consumption.It indicates that there are three intrinsic problems in SPT:a) oversimplified definition of people presence;b) situation missed;and c) problematic causal relationship. |
