| 摘 要： | 詹姆士·乔伊斯(James Joyce)的《艾勒比》(Araby)和凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德(Katherine Mansfield)的《花园聚会》(The Garden Party)通过对两个青春少年生活片断的切入,深入到其内心深处去反映他们对爱情和生活的反思及内心的成长,揭示了反思和内心成长的主题。本文拟从写作细节上来对照赏析这两篇作品。

| Abstract: | It is the writers" bounden duty to reflect human's interior world and psychological activities. Araby by James Joyce and The Garden Party by Katherine Mansfield depict the life segment of two adolescents and go deep into their minds to explore their reflections over love and life and their unavoidable interior growth. The theme that two adolescents reflections over the reality and the interior growth are unavoidable is thus revealed. The paper would study the text of these two short stories from five aspects: writing person, the background, the plot, characters and interior growth. |
