有效阅读不仅能使学生最大限度地获取信息,而且能使学生通过长期英语训练,提高英语语言运用能力.但是,阅读中经常出现的单词障碍,往往会挫伤学生阅读的积极性.解决这个问题最可行的方法是帮助学生认识"单词的理解实际上是一个复杂的心理或认知过程,其中包含了许多的阅读策略"这样一个事实,引导学生运用阅读技巧和策略,最终获得独立理解单词的能力.

On Improving Students' Word-Guessing Ability in English Reading

Effective reading can help students to obtain maximum information. When reading, however, students often encounter unfamiliar words, which discourages them to read further. The feasible way to deal with this problem is to help students be aware that the comprehension of words is actually a complex psychological or cognitive process, and involves many reading strategies. At the same time the teachers should urge the students to use reading skills and strategies spontaneously to obtain the ability of understanding words independently.
