武术术语英译论析

基于国内武术英译研究现状以及武术术语的文体特征和文化底蕴,武术术语英译应准确定位为文化翻译,并以“外尽其形,内显其理”为准则。此外,尤需注重以下文化表现问题:音译的文化传真优势、语码混杂的文化共生特色、形象移植的文化整体韵味、借词的文化语境适应、图像附注的文化跨媒介传达。

On english translation of Wushu terms

With globalization of Wushu,the function of translation as an intercultural bridge has long been neglected.The way of Wushu lies in the harmonious unity of the external form and the internal spirit,and so is the case with nature of translation.Based upon an exploration of the current Wushu translation studies in China and the stylistic features and cultural connotations of Wushu terms,English translation of Wushu terms should be orientated to cultranslation and be guided by "seeking for the outer formal correspondence and the inner spiritual similarity".Moreover,it should emphasize the relevant issues to the expression of culture,such as superiority of transliteration in culture facsimile,cultural symbiosis by mixed different language signs,cultural flavour in transplantation of imagery,borrowing words to cultural adaptability,cross-media cultural transmission in annotated pictures.
