| Abstract: | In different cultural backgrounds there exist different thought patterns,the dissimilarities of which determine the different modes of texts.This paper mainly discusses the different thought patterns and their embodiment in English and Chinese texts in terms of the text structure,cohesion and coherence and text strategy.It is hoped that this will help the learners better understand the textual organization of the target language. |
