关于中国传统文化非宗教性的若干辨识

本文认为 ,非宗教性是中国传统文化的显著特征之一 ,并对几个相关问题进行探讨 :一是提出在总体上接受非宗教性是中国传统文化的重要特征时应注意 ,不能以西方标准来套中国宗教现象 ,全盘否定中国文化中的超越性 ;二是指出非宗教性形成的原因应从中国古代社会形成的特殊历史途径和历史条件中去寻求根本解释 ;三是从不同层面说明非宗教性对中国文化的影响 ,并指出这种影响是一个优缺点杂揉、利弊并存的复杂问题 ,因此在对其进行价值判断时切忌简单化

Several Discernments Concerning the Non- religiousness of Chinese Traditional Culture

Non- religiousness is considered by the author to be one ofsignificantcharacteris- tics of Chinese traditional culture.Scveral relevant issues are discussed as follows:Firstly, while non- religiousnessistotally accepted as an importantcharacteristic of Chinese tradition- al culture,we must take care that Western standard connot be mechanically applied to Chi- nese religious phenomena and the superiority in Chinese culture cannot be completely negat- ed.Secondly,the rootcause ofthe formation ofnonreligiousnessshould beexplained from the special historical way and historical conditions forming in Chinese ancientsociety.Finally,the influence of non- religiousness on Chinese culture should be illustrated from differentlevels. The influence is a complex issue where merits and demerits are mixed,pros and cons are co- existed.Consequently,be carefull to avoid being oversimplify in its value judgement.
