| Abstract: | The social historical views of Zhang Zai's School of Guan forms a relatively self contained theoretical system by his adopting the theory of human nature of "the oneness of people with the universe" as its philosophical basis, "the substance with its two phases" as its complementary dialectic theory , reform and improvement as its supreme ultimate value, patriarchal clan system as its social control center, "brotherly benevolence among all people" as its ideal goal. |
