广州方言何以较完整保留入声

广州方言入声与《切韵》入声有非常紧密的对应关系。广州方言的源头和基础是秦通语（古关中话）。古关中话也是《切韵》所记录语音的主要源头之一。两千多年来，广州方言一直在相当固定的地域、相对稳定的居民和相对封闭的环境中使用，这就是广州方言较完整保留入声的主要原因。
