| Abstract: | Books remain a vital necessity for the socioeconomic advancement of society. The fact that Sierra Leone continues to import over 90% of its book needs is a matter of grave concern. Academic, technical and reference books are continuously imported, as local publishers do not have the capability to publish them. Little has been written on this important subject. This article is a pioneering attempt to bring fresh insights on book publishing in the country. |
