新石器时代长江、黄河两大文化体系比较

我国新石器时代长江、黄河两大文化体系存在着地理环境、农作物与家畜品种、生产方式与生活方式的差异，房屋建筑、葬丧制度及宗教信仰的文化内涵截然不同。黄河文明祖先崇拜所构成的氏族团体奋斗精神，强化宗教权威崇拜所具有的内聚力，对外扩张的进取性，造成北方文化 旺盛的生命力；南方松散而缺乏向心力的氏族团体，自由随意、缺乏积极进取而保守的水稻文化，失去一种锐意进取精神，最终走向衰弱。中国文明在黄河流域产生也就不是偶然了。

A Contrast Between the Two Neolithic Cultural Systems Along the Yangtze River and Yellow River

The two Neolithic Chinese cultural systems differed from each other in geographic surroundings, crops, livestock, means of production, and life style. They had entirely distinct cultural connotations as regards their architecture, mortuary style and religious belief. Ancestor worship of Yellow River civilization cultivated the clannish fellowship spirit. This civilization's cohension as a result of authority worship rooted from religious intensification and its aggressiveness in external expansion resulted in vigorous life of northern culture. In contrast, the southern clans were loose and lacking in centripetal force, their conservative and happy-go-lucky rice culture was devoid of the actively enterprising spirit. That's why the southern culture finally went into fall and it was almost necessary Chinese civilization came into being along the Yellow River area.
