| Abstract: | Pragmatic strategy is relatively neglected in English teaching and we need to make further study on it. This paper discusses the pragmatic strategies: polite appropriateness, implicature and euphemism, humor, vagueness used in business English negotiations. Effective methods are put forward to raise learners' pragmatic awareness, and to develop their pragmatic strategy. |
