摘    要:本首先概述了对扬州和泰州地区六所小学英语教材使用情况进行的定性和定量调查。调查结果显示,这些教材在内容安排、语言表达、习题设计、教师用书的配备和装订印刷质量等方面均有明显差异。本旨在根据上述调查,有点及面,分析我国少儿英语教材目前所存在的问题,探讨其应具有的特色和我们可能采取的措施。

Abstract:This paper first summarizes the qualitative and quantitative investigations made on the English course books used in six primary schools in Yangzhou and Taizhou areas. The results of the investigations indicate that there are distinct differences between such books in terms of the choice of content, the correctness and appropriateness of language, the design of exercises, the availability of teachers book and the quality of printing and binding. This present paper, then, through inference, intends to find out the relevant problems existing nationwide, discuss the possible measures to be taken to solve such problems, and, at the same time, analyze the characteristics such course books for young learners should possess.
