| 摘 要： | 20世纪 5 0年代美国著名小说家弗兰妮·欧康娜 ,在其短篇小说中 ,塑造了几位美国南方乡村老妇人。阐析她们守旧导致的种种困境 ,诸如自我意识失落 ,与晚辈产生隔阂 ,农场经营不善等 ,可以进一步揭示作者对当时美国南方乡村的保守氛围的理解。

| Abstract: | Flannery O'Connor, famous American writer in the 1950's creates stories of four country old women in the south of USA. This essay will interpret how these old women's being conventional brings different kinds of plights to themselves such as the loss of self consciousness, estrangement from their children and mismanagement of their farms. It also displays O'Connor's understanding of the conventional atmosphere in the countryside of Southern America at that time. |
