| Abstract: | As an especially favorite mode of life of Romans, bathing exerted a profound influence on the Roman Republic and upon the society, politics, economy and culture of the Roman Empire. This paper discusses the evolution and influence of the bathing habit of the ancient Romans, which will help us gain a relatively deep understanding of the social features of ancient Rome as well as the causes and reasons of the decline of the Roman Empire. |
