Vocational English Course Development Influenced by Combination of Work and Study

Work and study is an indispensible notion in higher vocational teaching.It not only permeates all the major courses in higher vocational colleges,but also has a great influence upon the fundamental courses.This article introduces a practical plan of developing higher vocational English course.In doing so,it takes three factors into consideration,namely,vocational English teaching,career development and work and study.It aims to clarify the higher vocational English teaching notion,reclaim the importance of higher vocational English teaching,settle the contradiction between fundamental courses and career development,and finally improve the higher vocational English teaching reform.
