As post-modernism is closely related with issues of contemporary man, it cannot be dispensed with easily though no longer in fashion. It still calls for in-depth research despite volumes of writings about it. Semantically, post-modernism is not a temporary concept: it is a symbol of rebellion; hence its coming into being is inevitable although this theory is not able to effect any social reform. The way of saving this theory from dilemma is to blaze new trails in practice rather than narrow-minded arguments.
