| Abstract: | groforestry system is an artificial ecological system. The term "agroforestry" was first used by Dr. K. King in 1978. In recent years, agroforestry system has been developed rapidly throughout the world. This paper, based on extensive investigations of the agroforestry model, analyzes the potential of agroforestry management in China and characteristics of the practics from the viewpoint of ecosystem and under the guidence of ecological principle. Some principles for the development of agroforestry are presented which provide theoretical basis for operation, design and planning of large--scale agroforestry complex management model. |
