Abstract:When the Drucker Prager yield criterion is used, the MSC/NASTRAN program frequently predicts noticeable errors. The relevant part of NASTRAN Handbook was checked and some errors in the elasto plastics theory used in NASTRAN were detected in this paper. The procurement to prove these errors was verified by numerical calculation.
