终身教育的最终目的在于维持和改善个人社会生活的质量，而成人教育则是终身教育的有机组成部分。没有成人教育的发展，就不可能有终身教育理论的产生和终身教育体系的建设。文章立足本院实际，对新建本科院校成人教育如何构建新理念、确立发展的新方向和新模式进行了探讨。

All-life education aims at keeping and improving the quality of the individual social activities, and adult education isan indispensable componentof all-life education. The theories and system of all-life education cannot be established without the development of adult education. Consequently, based on the practice of Chuxiong Normal University, the present paper explores the development orientation and models of new universities.
