| Abstract: | Symbolism,which originated from France in the middle of the 19th century, was introduced to China during the May 4th New Culture Movement. It had exerted an important influence on the early vernacular poetry, and formed the early symbolistic group represented by Li Jinfa. As a result, it opened up a new horizon for China's new poetry. |
