The classic movie Chapayev has formed a Soviet mode of myth for its features of the time and hence opened the door to the social realism. It is undeniable that this mode exhibits great aesthetic charm in its age. It finally however became the victim of Russian ideologization and concentration for the overwork of the dominant ideology. In fact, the Russian writers’ simple-minded understanding of party spirit and the conformity of audience accounts for the failure.
