This paper will explore the reasons for Beiyuan Tribute Tea flourished in the Song Dynasty. First, due to the good natural advantage in Beiyuan, the climate and soil and other natural conditions are appropriate for tea production. Second, due to the continuous innovation in the production of tribute tea, the tea fight art is formed, and it raised the tea drinking art to the elegant spirit. It continued to push the Beiyuan tribute tea visibility from the praise of the literati and the tea works. Third, due to the highly developed commodity economy in Song Dynasty and the king＇s encourage to hedonism which prevailed extrava gance, Beiyuan tribute tea became the luxury brand for the rich nobles to show their identity and enjoyment.
