| Abstract: | Of all scenes in the Summer Resort,five ones are named after lotus.There are two reasons why Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong liked lotus,firstly because lotus are gaily- colored with delicate fragrance;secondly because lotus is a symbol of gentleman with noble character and sterling integrity,who is immune to fame and wealth.Through the praise of lotus,the two emperors affirmed and advocated noble character and sterling integrity. |
