跨国远程教育机构的合作与发展研究——英联邦小国虚拟大学(VUSSC)案例分析与启示

Cooperation and Development among Transnational Distance Education Institution:A Case Study of Virtual University for Small States of the Commonwealth

Virtual University for Small States of the Commonwealth(VUSSC) consists of over 30 small countries of the British Commonwealth.It is not a new college but a collaborative mechanism and cooperation network.VUSSC leads the way in sharing teaching and curriculum development,especially in gathering superiority resources and experts to cooperatively develop online learning courses.So far,its initiatives have achieved positive outcomes.In addition,VUSSC puts special effort in the sustainable development of its initiatives,which include reaching collaborative agreement,organizing workshop,establishing a Transnational Qualifications Framework,exploring solutions for copyright and intellectual properties,and actively seeking financial support.Therefore,VUSSC serves as an excellent case for intercontinental and cross cultural cooperation.
