| 摘 要： | 委婉语是一种委曲含蓄、烘托暗示的语言表达方式。委婉语普遍存在于英汉民族的文化中,并反映在英汉语言中,它体现了语言与社会文化的相互关系。从委婉语角度,对英汉民族价值观、人际关系取向和面子观进行对比,以探讨该语言映现的英汉文化。

| Abstract: | Euphemism, a language means to use mild, vague and indirect words or phrases in place of what is required by truth or accuracy, is itself tinged with social-cultural features, revealing the interrelationship between language and culture. This paper, from the perspective of the euphemism, is intended to probe into English and Chinese cultural connotation by contrastive analysis of value attitude, interpersonal relationship orientation and face theory. |
