全面建设小康社会是十六大提出的我党21世纪头20年的奋斗目标。要实现这一目标,就必须坚持"以人为本"。"以人为本"方针的提出,既是对传统文化中关于小康社会理念的延续,又是对社会主义人文关怀本质的深刻理解与阐释。

Traditional Chinese Culture and the Goal of Building a Human-centered Society

To build a relatively well-off society is the goal for our party in the first 20 years of the 21st century, put forward in the 16th Communist Party Congress. To achieve this goal, the "Human-centered Philosophy" has to be kept in mind. This philosophy, is not only the development of the concept of a well-off society originated from the traditional culture, but also truly embodies the socialist humanism.
