唯物史观与美国华裔学者的中国史研究

社会存在作为一种实际的社会生活过程，对美国华裔学者的中国史研究有着重要影响。主要表现在：家庭环境、学校教育、社会体验构成美国华裔学者史学研究的基础；社会经济史作为美国华裔学者研究的主要内容之一，是对其所处的社会存在的某种反映；思想文化史研究作为华裔学者研究的重中之重，不仅没有否定其社会存在的作用，而且从一定意义上讲，反证了“社会存在决定社会意识”这一原理。

Historical Materialism and the Chinese Historical Research by Chinese American Scholars

Social existence, as a practical process of social life, greatly influenced the Chinese American scholars＇ Chinese historical research mainly in three aspects. Firstly, family environments, school education, and social experiences constitute the basis of historical research of the Chinese American scholars. Secondly, the social economic history, as one of the main subjects, is a reflection of the social existence. Thirdly, the history of thought and culture, as the top priority of their study, not only recognizes its role of social existence, but also, to some extent, proves the principle that ＂social existence determines social consciousness＂.
