在书写成为化的主要传播方式已使判断历吏叙述真实性的标准由世代相传的“口碑”转向书面“史料”之后,历史叙述的精确性与取悦读的生动形象性势必呈反比函数关系;而现代实证科学和现代学观念从学术建制上对“史易辙”的进一步强化,更使历吏与学在同一体中越来越难以相处;但张承志的《心灵史》以学术叙事与抒情倾诉熔铸而成历史小说的新体,使学与历史的关系在历史小说中获得了重新定义。

A New Genre in Historical Fictions Co-moulded by Academic Narrative and Lyrical Recountal--with Zhang Chengzhi's History of the Soul As An Individual Case

Since writing has become the major means of transmitting culture, the criterion for judging the authenticity of historical narrative has been transformed from the generation - to - generation "oral monument" to "historical materials" in the written form, whereafter the exactness of historical narrative is sure to fall in a reverse functional ratio with the vividness meant to please the readers. Contemporary positivistic science and contemporary literary concept have further reinforced from their own academic regulations the "diverse ruts of literature and history," thus making it even harder for the two to co - exist in the same genre. Zhang Chengzhi' s History of the Soul, has moulded a new genre in historical fictions by means of academic narrative and lyrical recountal, and acquired a new definition of the relationship between literature and history in historical fictions.
