| 摘 要： | 隐喻作为语言表达方式在英语中普遍运用，在英语语言发展过程中起着不可或缺的作用。本文以互动理论为依据，从荚语中的实例分析常规隐喻的三种类型及构成特点，总结隐喻在英语的发展过程中的重要作用。
