| Abstract: | This paper sums up five basic characteristics of euphemism,ie,variation of times,variation of region,variation of semantics,national trait and idiomatic feature.Then the structures of euphemism are discussed in detail from three aspects:rhetoric,semantics and word-building.At the end of the paper,the types of euphemism are described. |
