杜亚泉的家庭婚姻观

20世纪初,中国社会正处于大转型时期,家庭婚姻等社会问题备受瞩目。对此,作为非常关注这一问题的《东方杂志》的主编,杜亚泉认为,中国传统的家庭婚姻制度存在着许多弊端,必须进行改革,以适应新社会。但他所主张的改革是在不推翻原有制度习俗的基础上,吸收西方之＂长＂,以补中国之＂短＂。杜亚泉的家庭婚姻改革观体现了他的中西调和思想,反映出其思想具有进步与保守共存的两面性,也极具代表性地折射出近代中国社会转型期人们思想中的矛盾与冲突。

Du Yaquan's Views of Family and Marriage

At the beginning of the 20th century when China was undergoing great transitions,social problems like family and mar-riage have drawn much attention.Du Yaquan,editor-in-chief of,shows much concern to it.He thinks that the traditional Chinese system of family and marriage must correct its shortcomings to adjust to the development of the new society.But what he advocates is to learn from the Western＂excellence＂to make up for Chinese＂weakness＂instead of denying the original cus-toms.Du Yunquan’s views of family and marriage have therefore shown his efforts to harmonize the Western and Chinese thoughts,which reveals both his progress and conservative attitudes.His viewpoints also represent the contradictions and conflicts in modern Chinese people’s thoughts at the transitional period of the society.
