An Example of the DC Metadata Standard Design for Chinese Digital Journals

This article deseribes the use of metadata standards as a viable means for shared resources among various different digital journal warehouses.Our study concentrates on three contents:First,the article discussed under the necessity of using the metadata standard in digital journals.Second,the article discussed the semantic definition and limitation of the DC element set for digital journals.Finally,we provided the metadata standard of the Chinese digital journals and an example of the design with the DC 1.1 metadata and HTML 4.0 syntax.
