| Abstract: | Professor Wu Xin-yu has made a profound academic investigation on Guo Mo-ro's adopting and discarding of Chinese and foreign cultures from the perspective of cultural history.Potentially guiding the readers to confront the contemporary discourse of praising Chen Yin-he and belittling Guo Mo-ro,he provokes the reader to reconsider Guo's intellectual ideal and academic career,and thus,understand Guo's "uniqueness" in the contemporary cultural history of China. |
