Discussion on College English Teaching and Band-4 Examination

It is well-known that Band-4 examination plays a very important role in college English teaching.It also can be considered as one of the important aspects to assess the teaching quality of college English.In accordance with the requirements and types of examination questions for Band-4 examination,the thesis discusses some corresponding teaching methods and effective examination skills from the angles of listening and speaking teaching,vocabulary teaching,reading comprehension teaching,writing and translation teaching.Its aim is to improve college students' English comprehensive skills and the rate of passing Bnad-4 examination.
