在大革命时期,革命的知识分子,在豫东南地区开展革命活动,传播新思想和革命理论,激发了广大民众的革命热情,在觉悟的农民和知识分子中发展党员,建立党组织,组织农民协会,发展工农武装,发动了著名的四望山暴动,大荒坡起义和商南起义,建立了苏维埃政权,为豫东南革命根据地的创建发挥了重要作用.

The Intellectuals' roles in establishing the Southeast Henan Province revolutionary base area

During the Great Revolution in China,the Intellectuals,began to have revolutionary conciousness before others. They did a lot of revolutionary work in the area of South east Henan Province,spreading new ideas and revolution theory.Their revolutionary doings aroused many people's enthusiam to revolution.On this basis,they absorbed many people to join in the Communist Party of China,who mostly were concious peasants and intellectuals.They built the Communist Party organization,organizing the Peasants' Association,developing the military equipment of peasants and workers.They also mobilized the masses to start famous rebellion of Si Wang Mountain, the Revolt of Da Huang Po and the Revolt of Shang Nan,establishing the political power of Soviet Union,which played an important role in developing the revolutionary base area of the South east Henan Province.
