| 摘 要： | 从历史原因、文化根源和社会因素三个方面对英语谚语中性别歧视的根源作了探讨与分析，认为这一现象乃是妇女在社会发展各个时期的社会地位的间接反映，与女性地位及其变化有着极密切的联系。
