| Abstract: | In light of thermal elastie-plastic theory, this paper, by the finite element method, makes a calculation of the residual stress for a self-cooling hardening steel cylinder, with laser-induced heat as the second boundary condition. The result demonstrates that the value of calculation is close to that of the experiments. |
