对入世后我国西部农业发展现状的若干思考

加入WTO ,对我国中西部尤其是西部地区农业的冲击远远大于东部地区 ,影响西部地区农业发展的问题和困难不少 ,我们应继续深化农村改革 ,加快发展非农产业 ,积极改善农业生产基础条件 ,调整农业生产结构 ,以科技兴农为依托 ,增强入世后的农业竞争实力 ,加快西部地区农业经济的发展 ,提高农民的物质文化生活水平

Thoughts on Present Agricultural Development in the Western Part of China after Joining WTO

Joining of WTO has exerted far more impact to the Middle West of our country, especially the agriculture of western district, than that to the eastern areas. There are many problems and difficulties that affect the agricultural development of western districts. We should further deepen our reforms in the countryside, quicken the development of non-agriculture industry, improve the basic conditions of agricultural production, and regulate its structure. Based on the idea of thriving agriculture through science and technology, we need to strengthen the competitive power of agriculture after joining of WTO, speed up the development of agricultural economy in the western districts, better the material and cultural living standards of the farmers.
