尼尔·波兹曼学校批判与学校重构理论

摘    要:尼尔·波兹曼关于学校批判的理论以及学校重建的主张有助于我们重新认识学校的功能.尼尔·波兹曼梳理了美国当代学校批判运动的简明历史,并提出了学校批判的具体主张.他界定了理想学校的特征,对于传统学校的叙事神话予以了批判分析,提出了理想学校的全新叙事神话,并指出重建教学活动,重建学校的设想.

Abstract:Neil Postman was recognized as an outstanding techno-critic for decades. Postman gave a brief introduction of the history of school criticism in the United States. He proposed his definition of school and discussed what roles school could play in the education of students and what a good school was. Postman argued that school should have narratives, and the capacity of these narratives determines the kind of public in the society, as schools create the public. He proposed five narratives for schools and argued that several popular narratives fail to serve the purpose of school education. He then presented five new narratives of schools.
