Interpretation of Hu Jintao's People-based Concept in Earthquake Relief

Immediately after the May 12 Wenchuan Earthquake,CPC Central Committee and the State Council spared no efforts to combat the quake and carry out the relief work,which has highlighted the concept of putting the people first.On May 17,General Secretary Hu Jintao delivered a speech at the national conference on the relief work held in Sichuan,and emphasized the socialist core value system during earthquake relief.This speech also reflects Hu Jintao's deep sense of mission and the people-based concept,just as his words "Use rights for the people,feel the people's heart,plan the interests of the people".Hu Jintao's thinking of earthquake relief is a guideline for combating the quake and carrying out relief work and reconstruction work.This speech will also contribute to improving reconstruction practice and studying theoretical knowledge.It will inspire the party members and people to reconstruct country,strengthen their awareness and persistent to build socialist core value system.
