Seeking for And Probing into Human''''s Self-identity——Review of Ralph Ellison''''s Invisible Man

Ellison's Invisible Man reflected the racial prejudice,which still existed in America in the 1930's and 1940's,and revealed the living difficulties of American black people in this situation.It is a tragedy of seeking for self-identity and realizing one's ideal.This paper mainly analyzed the hero's efforts of seeking for self-identity,the sense of alienation and loss of personality and self-identity of American black people,who also represented modern people.At the same time,the paper also probed into the enlightenment that Invisible Man gave our modern people.
