| 摘 要： | 语篇标识词是英语语篇连贯关系中的重要体现形式。这些语篇逻辑连接语的作用大于其一般语法意义上的功能。语篇标识词在语篇连贯中的具体语义功能广泛，它对英语阅读篇章解读意义重大，是英语语篇阅读教学过程应特别注意的一种语言现象。

| Abstract: | s: Discourse marks or signal words are important in English text reading. Their semantic function go far beyond that of their structure. This paper mainly explores the roles that the discourse marks play in coherence of the English text. The author classifies them into nine categories according to their applications in English text. The paper also analyzes their semantic features and applications in the English text structure. |
