A Study of Application of Self-assessment in Instruction of English Listening and Speaking

The paper considers the self-assessment as vital techniques in instruction of listening and speaking, and creatively designs the concrete steps of questionnaire, retrospection, progress profiles and quiz in classroom teaching and autonomous study, which are of great value for instructors to learn of students＇ listening skills, and properly adjust teaching scheme, and for students to improve listening skills by means of meta-cognitive strategies.
