| Abstract: | The Chinese imperial examination system was introduced into West by missionaries, Mattieu Ricci and Alvare de Semedo were two of them. This system was taken by the westerners as a reference in establishing the civil official examination systems and was the cultural resource the Chinese gave to spur the West's social progress. |
