从"不中听"信息的传递看东西方交际风格的文化差异

交际与文化的关系密不可分。文化的核心-价值观决定了人们如何交际,而交际风格又是一种文化的价值观的直接或间接的反映。本文主要讨论东西方文化在传递"不中听"信息(比如,反映问题,传达坏消息,表示拒绝等)时所表现出的方式上的差异及其背后的支配力量-价值观的差异,从而阐明在跨文化交际中,来自不同文化的交际者只有全面把握对方的价值准则和思维模式,选择恰当的交际方式,才能达到成功交际目的。

On the Cultural Differences of Eastern and Western Communicative Styles in the Communication of Unwelcome Messages

Communication and culture are inextricably linked. Values, the core of culture, determine how people communicate with each other, and the style of communication is itself a direct or indirect reflection of values of a culture. This paper attempts to discuss the differences between Eastern culture and Western culture in style of sending "unwelcome" messages, such as communicating problems, bad news, and saying "no", and the differences in values-its internal and determinant forces, so as to make clear that in intercultural communication, communicators from different cultures can achieve success only through an overall understanding of the principles of values and thinking patterns of the other party and an appropriate choice of the style of communication.
